Joy Made Complete
John 17:6-20
When someone is near death, frequently they are more concerned for their loved ones than for themselves. On the night when Jesus was arrested, knowing the ordeal that lay before him, Jesus took the time to pray for his disciples. He cared for them and their fate more than his own. He knew that they were also facing difficult days and that they would need God’s help to make it through. Most surprisingly, though, he prayed explicitly for those who would believe in him because of their word. Jesus prayed for us on the night he was arrested!
